Blade WorkStation

Overview

HP Consolidated Client Infrastructure (CCI) provides more secure, cost-effective, easy to manage and environmentally friendly desktop replacement solutions.

In a CCI environment, Blade PCs reside inside a datacentre with end users accessing a Windows Vista/XP desktop from a thin-client terminal. Running behind the scene is HP’s PC Session Allocation Manager (SAM) that acts as the connection manager between the user and the blade PC computing resource.
This broker software enables a blade PC to be allocated on a 1:1 basis, either dynamically in a concurrent model or in a dedicated static Blade PC.

The end result is a desktop replacement architecture that provides performance, compatibility and predictability while providing the benefits of a centrally managed datacentre-based solution.
